Jacqueline Y. Ma

Jackie has been working with students in elementary, middle and high school throughout her career.  Her approach to helping students progress in math is individualized.  She believes that math is not a "genetic" ability and everyone can master and appreciate math with proper guidance.  Leaving the corporate world, Jackie has focused on coaching and teaching mathematics for over a decade.  She has first-hand classroom experience as a substitute teacher in K-12 classrooms, and is familiar with the math curricula of New Jersey and Massachusetts. She previous coached small groups of students preparing for the AMC 8 and AMC 10 competitions and the Math League contests at the middle school level.

Jackie has a solid academic background, particularly in math. She attended school in Beijing, China.  She received a B.A. degree in English Literature from Peking University, and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University (with a two-year fellowship).  While working at AT&T and Bell Labs, Jackie obtained her M.S. in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
